Cycle Insurance

Post by belgiangoth »

Hi, can anyone reccomend a good insuror for my bikes? I'm currently with the CTC's insurance, but have just found an exclusion on insuring bikes outdoors after 11pm - which was something I was sure they didn't exclude (for some reason) and a major dealbreaker since it means my bikes won't be covered if I ride them to the pub.

Who do you use, and what obvious neccessities do they exclude?

(PS - did a search for this topic in "do you know", tried three times and each time it did a search of the whole forum)

I found most of them were too expensive including the CTC one. It may be that the cheapest option will be the company which insures your home. I don't bother myself but keep a close eye on my bike.

I found the best one was Norwich Union. We've got two tandems insured for £4,600 and they charge any extra for it.I've also got my two solos insured for £700 each at no extra cost either. And their premiums were the best we could find.
