ViaMichelin has a 'bicycle' option. Its brill', but I think it has a distance limit for bicycles of 200 km.

www.Cyclestreets.net seems to work OK.

and as of yesterday, Google Maps now has a Bicycle option on it's directions and also a "bicycling" layer that adds cycle paths to the map.

Viamichelin and Google are not cycle specific even with the cycle option. They often seem to route along main trunk routes and ignore cycleways.

After considerable experience utilising route planners, the options which work well for me are; Cyclestreets and Basecamp with Velomaps installed. Most planners offer a GPS download option, but both of these offer printable maps and directions. Basecamp and Velomap is a little hungry on PC resources, but can be fine tuned to your specific needs. Both are downloadable free.

There are plenty of others which work at least as well, it's just that they all require some investment in time to get the best out of them.
