Hi,
Anybody had any luck using a mobile phone as a handlebar cam ? I know there are mounts out there but they don't all leave the back camera uncovered. Does the vibration make the footage unusable ? Say for picking out registration numbers ? I run my tyres at high pressure so everything rattles a fair bit. Any Suggestions ?
Cheers,
Bruce.
Mobile phone as handlebar cam
Re: Mobile phone as handlebar cam
I tried one Saturday morning when I had nothing better to do. The phone was clasped with a couple of spring clamps from Poundland.
The results were terrible.
Then I discovered the phone video had an 'Anti shake' toggle which was switched off.
I haven't tried again however.
Check your phone video settings for 'Anti shake'.

I've done this before, holding the phone on with elastic bands
Yes the vibrations mean that the pictures aren't that great
I think it's something to do for a laugh rather than everyday on the commute to record potential incidents
