Lough Neagh Cycle Path - Surface?

Post by Rittmeister »

I have been looking at going around the Lough Neagh Cycle Path. Can anyone tell me if it is tarmac all of the way and the state of the surface please?

It's not a cycle path as such. It is NCN 94 so it's a designated cycle route on public roads, some main some minor. I've cycled most of it and it's tarmac with good surface. Some of the smaller roads especially in the south east section are a bit rougher but I cycle it on my road bike with 23mm tyres and it's fine.

Excellent! Thanks. I know there is a sportive on so I presumed it would be fine for road bikes.

Yes, Lap the Lough. I do it every year.
