What bikes use 20" tyres?

Postby Dave W » 9 May 2015, 11:21am

I have a couple of sets to get rid of that came with my Cannondale Hooligan. I know BMX bikes take 20" but your average BMX'er won't want road tyres. Do folders use them or are they normally 16" - anyone know?

There are at least 3 different ETRTO diameters that go by the name 20", so in any advertisement you would need to specify which one it is. In this case it is 406, which as you say is the commonest BMX size. This size is also used by some recumbent machines.

The Circe Helios & Morpheus Tandem-cum-cargobikes both use 20" (ETRTO 406) wheels too.

I have 20" up front on the Raptobike - that's about as road as you get - what do you have?
A shortcut has to be a challenge, otherwise it would just be the way. No situation is so dire that panic cannot make it worse.

My Bike Friday takes 20", but as said there are different sizes of 20".

Mine are 20" 451 - quite a bit larger than the 20" 406. :?
