Which first aid course?

St John Ambulance or the Red Cross would be the most convenient for me in terms of the instructor's first aid certificate. Does anyone know which course to go for?
If you mean in terms of what certificate is required for bikeability then check with your potential employer. Most I've worked for want the Emergency First Aid in the Workplace which is a one day course.
No idea of the quality of two you mention but they are up the top end price-wise! Actually IIRC I sent one of my instructors on a St John course, three times as expensive as some other courses (but needed it very quickly) - she said it was a good course but not significantly better than some of the cheaper courses. I did mine with the local Wellbeing Service (i.e. the Council service that runs the local leisure centres) who are good and a lot cheaper....they also have a lot of experience of sports incidents.
