I recently qualified as a national standards instructor and was surpised that no reference is made to the pupils standard of vision
Bikeability 2 is aimed at 11 year olds, the age at which eyesight can change rapidly
I have been carrying out simple eyesight checks using a car number plate and have found several with a sub standard stadard of vision, or in one case had been told to only use them for school work and television!
Has anyone else any experience of this and should this be a standard part of the bikeability training?

Yes it should be part of the training. Good idea!
Having done the eyesight check, what did you do with the pupils that failed it? Did you still continue the training?
