Cycle Training for 5-7 year olds

Post by Dankron »

Hi, do you know of any good websites/games/resources to help 5-7 year olds gain the basic control skills for cycling (off road) ?
I am designing a course and would like to have as many fun activities to help kids gain the basics without over-focusing on the National Standards, yet encompassing as many Level 1 skills as possible.
Many thanks, Daniel.

There are quite a few games listed in the Instructor's Manual - Slow Bike Race, Dodge, Spanner Hop, Bike Pump Relay and so on. Most would be suitable for that age group.
Its available from CTUK.

Level one games and activities

In my humble opinion the best way of doing Level One is with fun activites... your not on the road after all so don't need to get too worried about that. There are activities and games listed in the Cycle Trainer's Manual here:
