Bikeability

Post by keepontriking »

Can Instructors have some clarification on whether, when Bikeability is launched, they will be able to deliver the NS training under the Bikeability banner?

I note that CTUK is offering courses (at £100) to provide information on how to get their training assessed for Bikeability.
This implies an additional requirement/assessment will be required to the present standard instructor training courses. This seems contrary to the Cycling England website where the FAQ states "If you are already delivering NS Cycle Training you will be entitled to make Bikeability awards".

Perhaps the CTC could offer some guidance/clarification to its 'CTC Accredited Instructors' as to what will be needed to deliver Bikeability?

After all, the launch of Bikeability is supposed to be fairly imminent.
