Nez :

Please remove the auto-generated signature by Tapatalk ( on your device ).

My rather abrupt translation of the first part of this signature - is to catch your attention.
The intention is to guide people to making the suppression without me having to notify each individual.

Thanks Paulatic. We’ll discover if that has worked.

It sounds promising, but the URL did not go anywhere for me.

I suspect that it is only visible within a Tapatalk subscription service.

Anthony has mentioned this before, but not the exact mechanism.

The point that I was trying to make (in a roundabout way) was that I wondered why Tapatalk users didn't simply edit the signature away from their post; I presume however that it comes back with the edit. Or indeed why the mods didn't replace it, not with text but with blanks/spaces (though the replacements are very amusing). But I also wondered whether the signature was a small price and worth paying for something that made forum access possible/easier on a smart phone. Given that it seems reasonable that members may wish to access the forum on the move or while on a trip (often for essential reasons), personally I don't find it that objectionable to have to see it (I don't use it myself) or if Tapatalk gain a small advantage from it - AIUI it's a free service at basic level. Of course, if users can and switch the signature off then all is OK.
