What about this?

Post by mjr »

We seem to be suffering a surge in vague clickbaity titles recently (including more than one post titled just "why?"). Is there anything that can be done to curb this without overloading the mods?

I've no suggestions other than more consideration from posters but I agree, not least because even when I've clicked to look, I don't always remember what it was about and end up clicking next time it appears with a new post.

On a similar theme, I can do without posts which consist of nothing more than a link. No doubt I've been guilty of this myself, but a brief indication of what's in the link is helpful. These days, I generally ignore such links until I get a clue from subsequent posts.
