My admiration and support for the moderators knows (almost) no bounds. I wouldn’t do the job if it was salaried. I am a trained mediator and negotiator and have chaired tribunals. But moderator for free? No way!
My tuppenceworth: there is a world of difference between moderation, editing and censorship. I think that, generally, the current prefects have it just about right.
