prosilver Theme Gone Badly Werid

Post by Psamathe »

Suddenly all the larger "New Posts" Buttons disappeared from the nes posts listing. Then, looking at a thread no lined around posts

Then if you try and post, the edit box for your text is far too weeny

Tried in a couple of different browsers with identical results.

I've "reported" this thread to bring it to the attention of moderators who may have a means to contact techs.

Something went wrong when I cleared the template cache.

Restored from backup.

Investigating.

As all restored quickly do feel free to delete this thread (not really useful any more).

The post reply on the prosilver theme is now completely broken. See attached. Switching to subsilver2 works but I don't think I would have tried that without seeing this discussion!

Seems to have bounced back.

subsilver2 is horrible - maybe it's not being used to it but I find it very difficult to navigate and use; but only way when prosilver goes bad.

Sorry, all. Some problem when the template cache is cleared, I suspect due to the forum version not being fully compatible with PHP 7.4.

I'm working on upgrading the Forum to phpBB 3.3, hopefully without too many more interruptions to the live Forum (although I do need to work on it to prepare for the upgrade).

Good luck! I know the sort of pain that can result when one upgrade forces another unexpectedly...

Does that mean we're going to get the long awaited "dark theme"?

Thanks!

It all seems to go fairly smoothly, although it takes a loooooong time to make changes to the phpbb_posts table's schema!
