Gallery Size

Still took 2 mins and 38 secs to fully load the gallery.

It's no big deal but in only 18 months of this new forum being up and running, I have a tiny problem. What will happen in the next 18 months? Surely, it will be twice as bad.

Yes please, delete my out-of-use photographs.

If we're not using a newer version of the forum software by then I'll be very upset!

It seems that phpBB 3, if that's what we upgrade to, has much better image handling. phpBB 2, what we're currently using, has a lot of inefficiencies in the code...

And the loading of the gallery is lightening fast now!

I wonder why?

No it's not. I reset all my cookies, and logged back in and tried again. Just as slow.
