Do you send a standard mail, or do you explain why they were un-approved?
It's an automated thing with a window that opens up with an unapprove/disapprove button to click, also there's "do you want to send an email" button.
Next time I do one, I'll give a screenshot or two of the system. There is an option to say why they are unapproved, usually it's just SPAM or not bother at all. Just unapprove.
