It's supposed to be Tux, the Linux mascot :) . And Si, I deleted the non existent one. Still will only let you use ones from the galleries. If you can still do it, could be a permission based problem?

'twould appear that the avatar problem is worse than you think.

Yes, but where? When I go into UCP>Edit avatar all I see is this:

Deletion doesn't do anything: it behaves as if there's a file already there, but there ain't. Am I missing something or just going wawa?

Aha, found the problem and fixed it. You can now upload avatar images again! :D

Apologies to those whose avatar images were accidentally deleted, there were 150 avatars that disappeared. I've changed my upgrade procedures so this won't happen again.

Will have to get a new picture as I don't have mine anymore. Maybe I should just buy a new bike so I can get the picture off the internet

I was browsing another phpBB run forum the other day and noticed that half of the avatars on there were showing as blanks, so I assumed that it was a general software format issue. Anyway, I'm off to find another piccy.

On an entirely unrelated issue, I've noticed that some of the resident smilies appear to have undertaken a diet. You can see their chins for the first time ever  . It's not natural. The smiley has always had the the perfect facial proportions of a 16 stone stand up comic. These new ones look strangely alien. I don't trust this cyberspace anymore. :?

My troll seems to have run away, you have history on this score, did you catch it on one of your troll hunts or did it just meet a Billy Goat Gruff?

Engineers often take pride in their artistic talent and that picture is obviously my impression of a road kill sheep as you (a man of discernment) could tell. Many others think it is some sort of rat hanging from its tail as frequented the schoolbooks of a certain teenager thirty years ago.
