BBCode [s]{text}[/s]?

Post by deliquium »

Is it possible to add BBCode to allow 'strike through' of text? I tried using [s]{text}[/s] to no avail.

Thanks, Paul

In some ways I'm quite pleased that doing strike through is a little more difficult than on many other forums - it means that we don't get all of those annoying "FTFY" posts. And please, do not FTFY this post - it's not big and it's not clever, and you'll be letting me down, you'll be letting the school down and worst of all you'll be letting yourself down

It seems dear gaz, that only the truly enlightened know the sound of I CAN DO THAT flapping :)

You're teasing me. And do are you Si

I have no nasty intent nor wish to edit others' posts - this is purely for my own use. I had to Google FTFY - had no idea why anyone would be so arrogant

Pretty please? Enlighten a sad old man?

pm me if you like?

Not at all  .

It's a former Avatar of mine and I feel it sums me up rather well, from time to time.

Did you too, go to that school for inflatable dummies?

TBH, there have been times when I'd quite like to have a strikeout format, although I can live without one. Not to FTFY anyone else's post - I don't do that unless I'm sure of the 'victim' having a chuckle at the result! I'd use it for d̶a̶f̶t̶ comical effect, to pretend to delete the word I first typed in favour of a more polite version....

[unashamedly nicking characters from Gaz's post - don't know what dodge he used, it seems to be some sort of obscure Unicode?]
