I amiss away on holiday and after over 80 cancellations and a dozen redirects to the infernal Tapatalk Ismforced to accept that this site is still unusable from a mobile device

What do you need Tapatalk for?
I can access here very easily via our iPad and from Mrs Mick F's Samsung Galaxy, both completely without Tapatalk.

Pardon my ignorance about this, but I don't understand what it's for.

That's the OP's point, he doesn't want it.

Personally I do use it to access the forum as on an iPhone it's much more readable and easy to navigate. Having tapatalk compatibility does not mean that the notifications need to exist, these can be removed.

So why use it?
Turn it off or delete it. It's only an app. Use the browser instead.

I downloaded Tapatalk into our iPad a while back to see what it was like. I didn't like it, so deleted it.

.

That's what he's trying to do, but it keeps popping up going
"Do you want to use tapatalk?"
"Do you want to use tapatalk?"
"Do you want to use tapatalk?"
"Do you want to use tapatalk?"
"Do you want to use tapatalk?"
"Do you want to use tapatalk?"
"Do you want to use tapatalk?"
"Do you want to use tapatalk?"
"Do you want to use tapatalk?"
"Do you want to use tapatalk?"
"Do you want to use tapatalk?"
"Do you want to use tapatalk?"

I could see how that would get tiresome.

On the iPad now.

When I went to the forum, Tapatalk widow openes with a big x in the corner.
Tap the x and It goes, never to return until after you log off and come back.

I repeat, what's the problem?

On two different Android devices I have the same problem described by Mark1978 - a Tapatalk popup that just won't go away. And Tapatalk itself is a pain in the backside for sending constant notifications even if you have all the notification settings turned off. I've given up trying to view the forum on mobile, myself.

Just tried it on Mrs Mick F's Android Samsung Galaxy, and I don't get continual popups.

Why not, when others do?

If there's one thing worse than some IT gadget putting its tongue out at you, it's somebody who can't help you sort it out telling you there's nothing wrong.

I'm not saying there's nothing wrong.
I'm saying that I don't understand because it isn't a problem to me on three different devices.

I don't understand.

What is the problem?
It obviously isn't Tapatalk specifically, because it doesn't happen to me.

I think I'm confused.

If the OP doesn't want Tapatalk then Settings/Application Manager/Tapatalk/Uninstall is the way forward.

If the OP does want Tapatalk but doesn't want the notifications then I would have thought (without testing it as I don't get the notifications) that the above would be a start followed by a new installation.

Just my two penneth... :)

I'm certainly confused!
I really don't understand the problem, so maybe an uninstall is the way forward with this.

The forum in my tablet or phone browser very occasionally comes up with "View in Tapatalk" and I decline and continue. I dont have Tapatalk installed. But these are both Android devices, perhaps its an Apple problem?
