Simple Question: Is anyone else fed up with having to be PC ?

Postby hondated » 11 Feb 2019, 10:39am

The title is probably as much as I can say, without over stepping the line. Mind you I am expecting adversarial comments even about that.

I'm afraid I can't help, I have never been a Police Constable.....

Once again a topic that's of indeterminate depth, width & height. Anyhow, the correct answer is a gravel bike with 38c tyres.

It's WC not PC. You can never find them so they are hardly 'public' and if you do find them they will be locked so not at all 'convenient'.
Current status report:
Latter side of fifty and feeling less than nifty.
Too many bikes on pegs and too few miles in the legs.

Nope. I'd consider seeking psychological or spiritual help over a desire to be nasty to someone if it were me. (Caution: not all spiritual systems seem to be very PC...)

I never really discovered what it means.

Mostly seems to provide an excuse to say something offensive.

I am certainly fed ip with Westminster's idea pf politicallly correct.
Especially the constant outdated " the honourable gentleman" , my honourable friend" and a host of other long winded and archaic procedural stuff.
How much good time is lost though this stuff and the speaker constantly having to shout "order".

Answer is lots of time!

Hi there, I think that the problem with the "PC" mob is that they appear to want us to live in a vacuum!
They hijack our language, so I can no longer think of having a "Gay Box" to put on the wall! I am not supposed to eat "Faggots" these days! Nice in gravy.
I have to avoid saying "Blackboard", even though it is clearly a board and black in colour! "Blackmail" is an offence not for the actual extortion attempt, but for the Non_PC language!
If I go any further I will get abused in the same way Liam Neeson has. I heard it said that "Thinking" about committing a crime is actually n act of doing a crime? Well that would mean that all Crime Fiction & Who done its are crimes in their own right?
I think a reality check is needed. TTFN MM

Having read your post I think it is. None of that forms any part of my reality.
