Photos with the theme, Down the Road
Re: Photos with the theme, Down the Road
With winds gusting at up to 50MPH yesterday, the Norfolk and Suffolk trails were the roads to be on for me:
Supporter of the A10 corridor cycling campaign serving Royston to Cambridge http://a10corridorcycle.com. Never knew gardening secateurs were an essential part of the on bike tool kit until I took up campaigning.....

At the entrance to "Rose Castle" the former home of the Bishop of Carlisle.
Taking a break at Thursby near Carlisle.

Another bit of the coast of Mull....
And a bit of Ardnamurchan peninsula
While I'm about it, the Great Glen...

That can't be Ardnamurchan, I've been there four times and the sky is always the same colour as the Tarmac.

Re: Photos with the theme, Down the Road
This is definitely "down" the road. At 720 metres the top of the Green Lowther and it's all down from here.
Whatever I am, wherever I am, this is me. This is my life

This is one of my favourite shots.
2010 from Pork Hill looking west climbing onto Dartmoor.
BTW, there was a concrete block in the trailer.

Re: Photos with the theme, Down the Road
Not a bad day so out while the sun shines after storm Desmond.
Stopped to take a piccy as below. Makes a change to see blue sky.
Anyhow turned round and found this chap (or chappess) stuck in the fence.
There were some brambles stuck to him so removed them but his neck was still stuck. The wool had wound itself around the wire and he was well and truly stuck fast. Not knowing what to do, and didn't want to hurt or cause unnecessary alarm, I went across the road to the farm. No one in so went next door who said they would contact the farmer to come and release the lamb later.
It was jammed fast and just tried pushing instead of reversing.
Anyway, sort of good deed done for today.
You never know but may come across it again.

You'll never know if you don't try it.

"Almost" a road.......the track dropping down from Hurst (above Reeth, in Swaledale) to Langthwaite in Arkengarthdale.

Nah,it's just there's such a lot of shopping those panniers, when he leaned it on the gate it couldn't stand the strain .
I hope the fall didn't damage that lovely bike when it fell over

The Raleigh 'Blueridge' was considerately placed and gently so
