i can picture it now, there was a special sport thing on the telly, and the govn'r said, right lads, if you get stuck in you'll be able to go and see the match

but they took it a bit too literally

Sorry, chaps, but this is an old picture that has done the rounds before. It's generally accepted that it's all just a "photoshopping" exercise.

Bit of fun, tho', I must admit.

I somehow doubt it, there's probably a very reasonable explanation. Try this one: the area where the van is parked is probably the forecourt of the building on the right, one or more of the bollards unlocks to allow vehicles in or out.
