I find it even odder that the worst insults against Leavers on here in the last day or so (nazis, extremists) have come from other Leavers building Aunt Sallys. Are you so frustrated that few Remainers will call you these names that you've decided to insult each other, then complain about being insulted?

I guess it's tribalism, one reason the Republicans failed in the Spanish Civil War (as this was mentioned in the thread previously).

Are you arguing that post-Brexit we should not sign any trade agreements, as all such agreements are protectionist?

Where do you get this idea from?

Here:
Go back to a sort of Common Market perhaps, but IMO we don't need a Union with Europe.

All trade agreement not ruled out by Leavers so far will be more closed than the single market, customs union and freedom of movement.

Why are you so opposed to the non-market parts of the European Union? Why shouldn't we cooperate with our nearest neighbours on foreign policy to maximise our effect? Why do you oppose the cooperation with our neighbours on policing and justice so that we can begin clamp down on organised crime and transnational tax evasion? It's often suggested that the Leave elite (Arron Banks, JRM and so on) are so strongly in favour of leaving the EU ASAP because they want to avoid the forthcoming anti-tax-evasion measures. https://badboysofbrexit.com/the-money-men/ - why help them?

What is a "hard line Remainer". Remainers just want to remain members of the EU. The "hard line" can apply to Leavers as there are many forms of "leave" (e.g. walk out breaking our international commitments, negotiated agreement, Customs Union, EFTA, etc". The "hard line" is generally used with respect to Leave supporters who seek the no-deal/walk-out/break our international commitments form of leave.

I may be wrong, but I think it is a term used by leavers to make them feel as if their cause is a reasonable position based on coherent thinking.

Just imagine how much better Germany could do, unconstrained by the EU's shackles.

It is interesting how Leave supporters like Fox bemoan how we need to grow our trade with China and thus leave the EU - totally overlooking that in 2017 Germany ("constrained by the EU"?) managed US$97 billion exports vs the UK at US$23 billion (exports to China). So Germany operating under the same alleged "constraints" as the UK still manages 4½ times as much exports! (and many Leave supports think our poor performance is the fault of the EU!). Conservatives have new leader!

Because Mrs May has obstinately hung on against the odds, it's been hard to dislodge her. However those clever Tories have come up with a great wheeze - they've simply gone round the road block and built a new party around their newly chosen leader. Nigel Farage is his name and he's doing a great job, uniting the Tories and surging ahead in the opinion polls. Lateral thinking is what it's called.

I'm not against anything other than being unified in Europe.
Note the word "unified".

Unity:
Middle English: from Old French unite, from Latin unitas, from unus ‘one’.

We are not "one" or don't need to be.
We should be all different and separate. It doesn't mean that we can't trade with each other unless we are "one" and it doesn't mean we can't travel and swap labour either.

European Union.
Note the word UNION.

Short step, and we'll be in the United States of Europe.
Put the brakes on now and get out of any "unity" before it's too late.

Nigel Farage has been banned from his local pub after the landlord accused him of walking away from the scene of a head-on car crash.

The Brexit Party leader was being driven to a campaign event when his Range Rover collided with Patrick Tranter’s Jaguar on a narrow country lane in Kent.

Mr Tranter, who was with his one-year-old son, claimed the MEP quickly left without checking if anyone was hurt.
Oh the irony! I don't recall people "walking away without checking if anyone was hurt", when this same Farage was injured in a plane crash on election day in 2010.

On the other hand, I note that the unfortunate pilot of that aircraft subsequently took his own life. The reasons are unclear; he had threatened Farage but was also maybe subject to a witch-hunt.
