A run on the pound?
For 1400 pages you have extolled the BENEFITS of a WEAK pound. Numerous times.
But now you suddenly see it as a bad thing?
It doesn't make your position at all credible.
Or am I missing something?
Broadly the pound has followed Brexit.
Everytime it looked as if a deal would be reached the pound strengthened and vice versa.
Now given that any other party than the Tories (apart from "shot in own foot" DUP and Farage's lot) would be far likelier to strike a deal or even "Remain"!
A Govt. composed of such a party/coalition would almost certainly strengthen Sterling?
Some capital would flee I suppose.
A patriot hypocrite like Rees Mogg would try to move some of his out of the tax man's reach.
There will be some solace in knowing that as it stands he will get a pretty crap exchange rate and as he carries some personal blame for that, can't moan. Just desserts.
A run on the pound.
The pound is like a horse that has already run and if it runs any further it will simply die in a quivering heap.
