Todays diktat from the May furore bunker: The UK electorate will not have another referendum vote on Brexit.

The fascist Tory government are totally uninterested in the resuscitation of UK democracy. They desperately need Brexit for it's own agenda, control, and autonomy-power, to inflict extreme Tory party policy on the UK; privatising the NHS for example - they haven't been deliberately running it down since 2010 for nothing.
It's also not in the interest of Tory party fascism to have a fair Brexit referendum (unlike the disgracefully unfair one we had on 23/06/2016)

Wouldn't a party with pretentions to fascism need a powerful leader as a starter for 10?

Just sayin'

It is actually possible to have weak fascist governments, in that whether they are fascist or not is about what they want to/try to do, not how effective they are in doing it.

Italy was a fascist state for almost twenty years. Mussolini was hardly a strong leader.

But who is the real leader? Is a puppet doing the public appearances really calling the shots? Maybe the reason May can never answer asked questions is that her "powers" have not yet told her what she will be doing on those issues.

I'm more down the road of dysfunctional shambles riven with infighting that can't believe it's luck tbh. The idea of controlling hands working a puppet would be to dignify it with some sense of direction. After all the only reason we ended up with a referendum in the first place was because of Tory division over Europe, wasn't it?

It's one of the reasons I find conspiracy theories so funny. The idea that governments have the wherewithal to pull off some of the fantastically complex stuff necessary for half of the conspiracy theories out there makes me laugh.
I genuinely wish they were actually that competent!

Fascism is a rather flexible concept, but weren't the states that are considered to have been fascist usually accompanied by a personality cult?

A can't imagine what a personality cult built around May would look like.

More of a personality search, perhaps?

Obviously we should not have been given a choice on our future in the hands of this money grabbing obese gravy train establishment . All the negotiations have shown that they will seriously struggle without our bottomless pit of money thrown at them.
