It seems so simple, put like that. Does your plan cover arrangements for the Irish border?

Morning all, I do agree that insults are too common in this thread, but sadly I believe it will not stop!
But one point that should be made clear - Why should people who have decided that their life should be carried on outside the UK have any vote in these matters?
Sure people who are doing temporary work outside the UK still have ties, but surely only people on a current electoral roll should get that vote!

Talking about "Expecting to already be out"? Fans of football might have said the same thing about Liverpool FC and the Champion's League.
Insult coming - Man United, supposedly "World's Greatest Team", nowhere, Man City, "The Magic Triple"? Oops.
There are a large number of tourists in Liverpool today that resemble zombies - the walking dead. Total disbelief  . Great match. IGICB MM

Because this affects their freedom to continue to live outside the UK. This is clearly a matter that should have been open to all passport holders as well as those on the general election roll. Indeed, the courts ruled it would have been illegal if it wasn't merely an advisory vote, didn't they?

If we'd left by now, even according to the most optimistic models there would be nothing but cuts to distribute. I think Rees Mogg had the break-even point at about 50 years, and Digby Jones was prepared to wait a century to reap the benefits.

And neither of which would have suffered as a result, however most of us have to live in the real world, thoughvI sometimes wonder which world Al lives in.

Yes, simply treat it the same as Rotterdam or Harwich.

Ah I see! Dig a ruddy great water-filled trench between NI and the Republic. Great idea!

I don't know, but reminds me of an attraction they used to have at the Vidampark in Budapest. But that was back in the 1960s, don't know if it's still there. Perhaps someone can fill me in?

No it isnt. If you move to another country thats where you make your life. Become a citizen, learn the language, become a part of your local community and contribute to it. All too often Brits go to France for dirt cheap housing, dirt cheap booze, dont learn the language or become part of the community, sit watching UK Sky or Freesat and socialising only with other Brits. I have met plenty of examples, they rush back to the UK when they run out of money or become ill. They have a choice and presently their views or votes dont count. I believe that if they want the protection of the British passport and the use of our Health Service they should continue paying some appropriate UK taxes. Why should they leech off UK taxpayers?

Football - a game for hooligans watched by hooligans. :-)

I hope you're not going to become so over-excited concerning this footba' event that you send us various of the watching-hooligan chants!

Yeah, it's all someone else's fault.

The continued inability of you and other supporters of Brexit to take responsibility for the mess you've made is entirely unsurprising.

If I was involved we would be out by now and concentrating on how to distribute the savings, Its clearly someones fault but definately not mine. Elites mess with Nation's progress, just like in VZ it all ends in chaos. < SNIP - removed : Graham >

Hi, mods,

thank you for removing the insults.

This is a recurring issue here, and just snipping the offending part means the poster gets both to insult others and still leave the rest of their post up. For your consideration could I suggest that for repeat offenders it makes more sense to remove the whole post, otherwise they simply carry on being able to both post and insult. Thanks for your time moderating here, it's appreciated.

Hi Cugel :D , Just because one enjoys watching a certain performance, be it football or ballet one doesn't have to become tribal or obsessional!
Viewing skills in any field should provide elation, pursuit of excellence.
One should watch all of the performers, including the officials, rather than just the ones wearing your particular favour.
I would never be able to dance like Frederick Austerlitz, but it is a real delight to watch him.
The Liverpool squad took Barcelona apart, despite some dubious tactics by Barca, a very hands on team.
I confess to have attended a Liverpool match in the past, Boxing Day 1969! But I'm hardly a regular.
So, Liverpool FC are still in Europe during 2019.
Now will it be Spurs or Ajax? TTFN MM

If the whole of Al's post had been removed, other forummers wouldn't have had the chance to reply to his (frankly, absurd) remark, "If I was involved we would be out by now". Which would be rather a pity!

Insults may be a recurring issue, but best not to 'celebrate' the Mods' decisions. We are not footballers...

P.S. I wonder if I'm allowed to mention "Luton" on this forum again?
