Saw Paul in a folk club in Soho in 1965 (I think). Took a new girlfriend to a folk club above a pub in Greek Street on our first date. As we were early there were only half a dozen there in quite a small room. Long John Baldry stood up, put his hand over his ear Ewan McColl style and launched into something or other at the top of his voice. I could feel my new girlfiend squirm, she was so embarrased. Its quite intimidating in intimate surroundings when the singer is only 6 feet away. Anyway, that new girlfriend is still with me and we are still both interested in all sorts of music. Tomorrow night we are at Wembley Arena where our daughter is singing with the support band. Life wouldnt be worth living without music, although sometimes silence is nice.

Next week I'm listening/watching Kate Rusby Xmas concert.
This is a first for me (not KR) watching a livecast from a live concert. Tickets are £7 which I think is a good buy. Surround sound, fire on and a drink in the hand looks like being a good night.
