An Astronomical discussion about what Trump is doing to NASA. Fascinating (and worrying). He's not actually "done" anything yet beyond asking them to come up with a list of goals they can achieve before the end of his 4 year term (i.e. big ticket stuff like "land a man on the Moon", etc.).

Their difficulty is that these projects are long term so to have big high profile manned achievements with 4 years is nigh on not going to happen. But it's more complex because NASA is very involved in remote sensing and monitoring and provides a lot of data and research into climate science .....

But it all gets complex because of CLEP (Chinese Lunar Exploration Program) the most significant part of that being "China" (and most people are aware of how Trump feels about China). But China is taking a very step by step approach, a manned mission not expected until 2025-2030 (though they'll be going there, landing, collecting samples and returning (this year?).

My son (a very good bassist!) pointed me to King Gizzard and The Lizard Wizard. Amazingly good rock! The first 15 minutes of In Your Mind Fuzz album is simply awesome! I'm hitting Spotify over and over....I shall have to buy it.....

of course he's very good. there are no 'good' or 'reasonable' bassists. from what i've seen there are very good bassists, and people who own basses. no middle ground.
