Rifugio Croda da Lago

croda.JPG

No car access, but cyclable from Cortina d'Ampezzo in the Dolomites

The Rifugio is in the trees on the left, a wonderful place to stay.

Lots of touring cyclists in Cortina.

The best one is when you see Jesus reflected in your sunglasses but I cant find it.

Which canal Reohn 2?? Good question, I think it was on the NCN5 somewhere after Runcorn....I stayed in Cronton, Widnes the night before & the photo was taken pretty early the next morning around sunrise....I'd had a puncture just after the Runcorn bridge & it was probably less than one hours cycle South from there. Would it have been the Trent & Mersey?? or possibly the River Weaver?? It had locks anyway. My road atlas was not the best choice of mapping and I have an awful memory!

It's the river Weaver probably somewhere around Dutton Locks  .

I thought the name of the boat reflected here was apt for this Australian Black Swan on the

Leed-Liverpool a couple of years back ; 'Gypsy Traveller'.I never noticed it at the time.

A flat ball and a reflected flat in the second picture

It's amazing the number of footballs that turn up in the canal.

Is it too early for reflected seasons greetings to all from Santa and the other Gnomes ?

Colin
Did you have a puncture shortly after taking the ball photo

PS, where was the Black Swan on the L&L?
I ask as a few years ago there was one in one of the Flashes in the Wigan/Leigh area.
