Welcome to Germany land of poets and thinkers, where vending machines sell books.
And cycle inner tubes.
And fresh milk, farmers go direct and keep the markup.

I seem to remember that Japan has vending machines everywhere - possibly indicating that they can be a useful asset where the population is law-abiding and community minded.
EDIT - ah yes, the Pocari Sweat machines . . . . . a refreshing canned drink
It seems rather cruel to farm the pocaris and milk them for their sweat - Yuk !
Also, a family holiday - camping in Interlaken, Switzerland - back in the 70's, where a campsite vending machine cooked and dispensed chips.
That machine took quite a lot of my holiday money.

I note the title alteration.
I also note that Burns Night is only a few days away. Anyone care to list what goes into a haggis? Having said that, I'm not sure whether you can get that in a vending machine....

What an excellent idea. I love andouillette, esp with mustard sauce.
Only thing I found sickening here was the oh-so-clever puns.
Have we got time for another cuppa?

"andouillette" French version of Haggis?
Re: Where pig's entrails, eggs and cheese are sold in vending machines
I remember being able to buy cigarettes (Players No 6 ?) from a vending machine. Not for me of course, I wasn't old enough to smoke then (!). I used to go down to the machine and buy them for my mother!
I guess that was in the late 1970s?
Not sure if this is genuine or not, but from buying fags to buying booze....

It was only made illegal a few years ago, in pubs at least.
Though Players No 6 went well before then.

Visiting friends in Speyer, Germany in October 2015 I noticed they still had cigarette vending machines in residential streets. If they did that here they'd be broken into and robbed within a day not to mention a lot of people whining about kids being able to buy or steal from them.

I'm not sure about that (never tried one even in my meat-eating days) but I suppose I'd better rise to the challenge:
Nope. Doesn't really ring true. Besides, it probably ought to be rendered in a regional dialect like Provençal or Occitan, which are completely beyond me.Beau se voit ton visage honnête et joli,

Au-dessus de tout tu prends ta place.
Ventre, tripe ou (?) tube digestif,
Bien tu vaux un bénédicité,

There are still cigarette vending machines in Germany, one may pay cash but has to prove one is old enough by inserting a bank card. Not quite sure how to use them. Gave up smoking in 1974.
