If you mention which paper I'll see if I agree
either the Mail or the Sun. The newspaper section is just before the self checkout so was waiting and glanced over
It seems to be a case of like father like son: Prince Charles has been engulfed in a race row after telling a woman whose mother was born in Guyana that she did not look like she was from Manchester.

Popped into M&S the expensive food store to see if they have any reduced price stuff ( I have a £20 voucher I need to use from a refund ). Notice on the way out a stack of tins of Duke & Duchess bikkies celebrating their new sprog - would any one here want to buy them?

Save it for the 19th of May, there should be plenty of merchandise then

Do they taste any different to ordinary biscuits?

descending a twisty and narrow back lane on the tandem last weekend, going pretty much flat out (c. 30mph). That's probably a bit faster than I would do it in a car if anything.
Van behind us, as soon as we get to a straight bit, overtakes, then, to the point I can only just brake fast enough not to rear end him, *immediately* slams on the anchors and turns right into his drive.
I do hate people who waste water by leaving the tap running while washing their hands, I mean I hate the habit I turn off the tap while rubbing my hands, then turn it on again for a moment to rinse

Actually I'm adding a compliment for our politicians (no rant and none of my usual using every opportunity to criticise them and their vested interests). For once I feel they have acted sensibly and in the interests of the public (at least it appears that way to me).
Completely the wrong thread to add my comment to but not worth starting a new thread and I'm sure I can revert to despising our political classes within the next few minutes.
I rather admire people who stand for town councils, they have a lot of work, get expenses if they are lucky, I doubt they achieve much, very few ascend to a lucrative career at West Minster
Going into politics could be something to keep one occupied in retirement
