Yes :oops:

This is "Scratchy" - a battered frame I paid £20 for on eBay, built up with slightly more expensive parts.....

And this is "Goblin" - because it has gobbled up all my green....

Why not combine the two?

The Naming of Bikes is a difficult matter,
It isn't just one of your holiday games;
You may think at first I'm as mad as a hatter
When I tell you, a bike must have THREE DIFFERENT NAMES.

My bike was called Bike.

Then, I bought a Moulton, and I called it "Moulton".
Bike, then became "Mercian".

Meanwhile, back in the old days, Mrs Mick F bought a pink Mixte bike with pink mudguards and called her "Barbie".
After a refurb, she became Barbarella.

Poetry is gr8

Do you mean a bike should have 3 names like a person, e.g. Amanda Kathrein Smith? Or should it have 3 (or more) names, aliases for different situations?

Only one of my bikes has a name : it's a (very practical) older Decathlon Hoprider which we call 'Hoppy'

Let me help you.. what sort of bike is it, what colour, what special features has it?

Maybe you could call it Boris for now to honour that great champion of cycling who is in danger of being forgotten, or rather of being remembered for other reasons :wink:
