Die Unsichtbaren - wir wollen leben
Film in German about Jews who stayed in Berlin in WW2 and survived, so good (intense) I saw it 3 times
Paddington 2, there is a long railway chase sequence at the end with 60163 Tornado [isn't it famous enough?] SR & LMS steam locos are glimpsed, did not spot a GWR one although the chase starts at Paddington

NO Spoilers but " The last Jedi" is brilliant if you like Space opera (Science fiction without the real science)
took my son last night, My own view is best Star wars film so far. If you have seen it please don't put spoilers, but if you like this sort of Genre you wont be disappointed.

We watched "The Day After Tomorrow" yesterday evening.
Not very good at all, and very very predictable. Wouldn't bother watching it again. We paid a quid for the DVD. Complete waste of a quid.

Watched The Orville - a US tv series comedy version of Star Trek but that also has its serious moments. Worf is married to a male version of himself, The vulcan is a female who cant keep a boyfriend as she kicks the s**t out of any new comer and there is a new alien, a jelly like blob that wants to have it off with the female doctor who is not "interested"
Re: FILUMS ..to see.
Yesterday we watched Bill and later Dunkirk.
Bill was fantastic mad humour
Dunkirk was a low budget flop IMO,disappointing

Not a film but a clip from a festive film. The film itself is a bit cor blimey and OTT at times but this 3-4minutes I feel is the star of the whole film.
Good old albert finney and anton rodgers in one of the catchiest ditties of any film.

It must have been a hoot to get paid to do that. Very cleverly made.
( * the woman shouting out of the window must have a 40yr old baby ).

Yes, Bill was well worth a watch........although i have to say that the humour was aided by cherry vodka.

Re: FILUMS ..to see.
Just read a wikipedia article about lost films, apparently many early films were on celluloid that did not keep well or could burn
Besides, when talkies came in many copies of silent films were discarded, people thought they were not worth keeping
*The playlist* described a new film as
*absolutely brilliant*:
"The killing of a sacred deer" with Colin F & Nicole K

'Star Wars: The Last Jedi' (2017) starring John Boyega, Adam Driver, Carrie Fisher, Mark Hamill, Daisy Ridley and Andy Serkis.
We wanted to see this before the Christmas holidays are over so we went to the Odeon this afternoon after a nice pub lunch. For me, it was a game of two halves with a pretty weak first half and an absolutely storming second half with mega battles in space, on a rebel planet and the obligatory light sabre duels and tug-of-wars between The Dark Side and The Force. I liked the legacy presence of Luke, Leia, Chewy and the 'bots and the new characters like Rose Tico and the cute little Porgs. As I say the second half is superb and, despite me being more of a Trekkie, long may the franchise continue. 7/10.

Re: FILUMS ..to see.
Went to the Kino about 53 times in 2017. Saw a couple of films more than once
Some of the best:
Fireman Sam and the aliens (Pontypandy, Wales)
La ora legale, Italian comedy, sicilian town elects straight mayor
Die Unsichtbaren: docudrama, Jews in Berlin WW2
Paddington 2
Maudie, Canadian artist
There were some films I did not find so good, but that is my problem
