Farewell Sir Roger Moore

Post by Spinners »

I was only watching him on the box on Sunday afternoon as 007 - and looking good in a safari suit.

Farewell Sir Roger and thanks for the memories.

He brought a black humour to the Bond role that was a joy to watch ....

At least the senile bitter old fart that is Sean Connery can't bitch about him anymore.
RIP Sir Roger, only a short while after one of the more memorable side characters played by Clifton James passed away.

I heard on radio a joke he made about fan autographs. A fan came up to him and asked for his autograph, the fan then asked that he do it also on the other side of the paper. Roger Moore quiped, " it seems that 2 of mine are worth one of Connerys :?: "  A nice memory to have of the man in passing ? A very dignified unpretentious man? not many of them in the film world

I liked his considered thoughts about 'acting technique' - "Learn lines, say lines and don't bump into the furniture".

On one of the obscure freeview channels they rerun the old Saint and Persauders episodes.....it has to be said that even before Bond he was the coolest dude around!
