R I P Helmut Kohl (87)

Post by Cyril Haearn »

One of the most important politicians of our time has died

By doing the right things at the right times he secured Europe and the introduction of the €. Maastricht Treaty, +1!

His actions changed and improved the lives of millions including me

I think we can learn from looking back and looking f o r w a r d 27 years. It could have easily turned out much worse after 1989*

Corbyn could be the new Kohl, I think

Corby has moved on from Kohl, so I was taught in my GCSE Geography lessons.
Merkel is the true heir of the man, so it is not like he has gone away.

There has been talk of renaming streets after HK but not much has happened

Apparently there is increasing scepticism towards elites

Kohl was possibly one of the first world leaders to be shafted by Merkel! Now that's not a good thing.
