Yes New Old Stock. Why not? I have some spare RSX gear ( STI/changers and chainset) bits some of which I bought 20 years ago and some I bought from Ebay and they look as good as new. I bought them as spares for my Dawes 1-Down. I wonder whether I will ever use them though, but best to be on the safe side as they work really well on that bike, modern bits couldnt be any better.

Saw a word I'd never seen before on Annemiek van Vleuten's Twitter yesterday - 'ravitaillering'. I thought at first maybe she'd got her languages mixed up (she's Dutch, of course) but it seems to be a French-derived cycling term like randonneuring, etc. It means refuelling, in this case with mangostinos, a Colombian fruit!

Yes we've seen the plague of s****phones erupt, to the dismay of anyone seeking peace and quiet while walking in the street, on the train, etc. All those zombies glued to their devices, totally oblivious to the world about them. It was never such a problem in the days of ordinary mobile phones. Anyway, I absolutely refuse to have a s-phone myself. Mrs P has one, but she needs it for her voluntary work as a Councillor.

Word processors nowadays insert 's****' punctuation marks wherever they see fit. Fine if they do what I want them to do. But not if I don't....
I admit to coming across the word SMART in a crossword puzzle I did recently. But the setter, with obvious intent to mislead, had applied it in the sense of to 'hurt' or 'sting'. In that sense, I'm happy to use the word.

Is the prevalence of public usb sockets where you can charge your smartphone. BUT it seems there is a risk of so called Juice jacking, since the usb port is also a data conduit
