Not from here...

Travelling with friends an their young daughter on the Motorway, when she asks for the toilet. We explain Services in about 20 mins.

She says "But I'm Turtling"

I had never heard the phrase, but apparently it refers to when a turtle starts popping its head out of shell

A very old one: the stiffords. Comes from Sir Richard Stafford Cripps, whose surname with the vowels swapped round denoted the condition noted above as turtling. As in Do hurry up in there, I've got the stiffords.
Have we got time for another cuppa?

There is an awful cluster of four stores near me but they are not so close together because the car parks are huge, it is a long walk to adli
