Trolling on the cricket pitch

Heard the one by Eddoe Brandes, a chicken farmer batting for Zimbabwe?
Glen McGrath the Ozzie fast bowler jeered,
"Why are you so fat Eddoe?"
"Because every time I tup your wife she gives me a biscuit."
He did not say tup.

Dirty jokes thread, -1
But is sledging ritualised and harmless?
How does it differ from trolling?
Other words: mobbing, bullying, distracting, tormenting

Surely sledging is meant to unsettle the other player. So not harmless.
Sometimes it is downright intimidatory.
Here are some more.

Looks a bit like banter, quick-thinking a suitable answer, a bit of fun
Fear it can be nasty too, but both sides can do it. Silence, ignoring might work too

Learnt something new again, +1

Looks like a regional form of thole, meaning to endure or tolerate.

Englandshire

Seen a couple of references to this queer place, couldnae find it on the map
Does it actually consist of several counties, like the lower 48 or the 26 counties of Ireland?

It might be the latest version of this:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Home_counties

I always wondered what the other counties of England were? The homeless counties?

But these days Englandshire is more a metaphysical place than a real one. It's composed of a sticky mix of artificial nostalgia (not made of real past events but plastic ones) with a large dollop of rabid jingoism, some patriotism that's gone-orf, all mixed up into a soggy pudding topped with vitriolic-intolerance icing. The recipe has been popular amongst victims of The Daily Hate Mail, The Torygraph and The Daily Frightener.

Cugel, beyond Offa's Dyke, which should now be reinforced.

Nincompoop is a nice queer word, I wykecheched it
Might be derived from 'non compos mentis'

Plan to use it oftener in future, I plan to use' thoyle' more too because there are many things one cannae thoyle, seems to me the word should be used a lot as many of us have too much money
