For me
Hot/warm weather:
Thin short sleeved mesh top
shorts
socks
fingerless gloves

cold- change thin short sleeved mesh top for fleece top with mesh back and sleeves, add leggings

very cold - change to thicker fleece, still mesh back, but fleece sleeves; gloves with fingers, thicker socks, still mesh shoes

if wet, waterproof shoes with neoprene collars, very thin breathable waterproof, waterproof gloves

That's it.

If it is really, really cold and I'll be stopping for long periods to draw or something, I would go mad and combine 2 of the tops, or take an extra one with me. I don't wear underwear on the bike.

I'd be roasted alive if I wore what some of you wear!
I just run hot I suppose. Most of you would be skinnier than me, especially as males have less fat just under the skin, which may make a difference.

I've found over the years that when the temp gets up to 17degC, I'm ok in a SS top. Any temp less than 17, and it's a LS top.

However, as I've got older, the temp needs to be 20degC.
