The TV excerpts of her speech looked powerful and she delivered it well. And then for Trump to be so unpleasant is really quite pitiful. The man needs help, men in white coats type of help.

He's bog-standard dictator-megalomaniac.

Will the Yankers allow him to go the whole nine yards and ban that democracy nonsense he feels is stopping his many great plans? In many ways, they already have. Consider the gerrymandering, propaganda machines, voting suppression antics and all the rest. Oh, and the queer idea that someone getting three million votes less than their opponent can still somehow be The Winnah!

So far, he isn't as bad as Stalin, Mao, Gaddafi, "Bob", Sadam, Pinochet, Franco, Hitler, Mussolini and various other lovely "strong men" of modern history. But he's just got started. And many Yankers still think he really is Great. I dread the next Yank election.

Indeed he is, but is he going ga-ga?
Even dictator-megalomaniacs go senile.
I guess it might be difficult to tell.

Everything's bigger in the USA,even the fools

It reminds me of when he visited Wigan before he was POTUS.
A Wiganer he bumped into asked of him "well Don wot doest uh think o' Wiggin owd lad"
Trump answered "well I think Wigan is the buttock-orifice* of the world"
The Wiganer said "juss passin' thro' art uh' then"

There was an interesting interview on R4 Today program this morning. The interviewee was Democrat supporter though seemed quite balanced. Interviewer said that even if Impeachment gets through Democrat controlled stages it would never get through the Republican controlled stages due to the numbers of Republicans that would have to turn against the Trump. Interviewee agreed but pointed out to interesting things: that under the (I think it was) Nixon impeachment pubic opinion originally was not too anti-Nixon but changed quite fast as details and facts started to emerge. Another factor is that Trump is currently breaking records in terms of unpopularity and if things get worse some Republicans might see Impeachment as a means to get rid - i.e. lose the Presidency or get somebody else to stand.

Yes it was an interesting insight. Americans love a winner until they aren't, but wouldn't it be delicious to see him humiliated thus :D

Remember, if Trump is successfully impeached (never happened in US history), Pence gets to be POTUS. Think about it....

Until 2020 I believe. He's so loony tunes they'll be able to control him but he's probably more sensible once you get past his invisible, bigot friend he gets direction from.

The question is, who are "they"?

Bill Hicks wrote:I have this feeling that whoever is elected president..., no matter what you promise on the campaign trail – blah, blah, blah – when you win, you go into this smoke-filled room with the twelve industrialist capitalist scum ... who got you in there. And you're in this smoky room, and this little film screen comes down … and a big guy with a cigar goes, "Roll the film." And it's a shot of the Kennedy assassination from an angle you've never seen before … that looks suspiciously like it's from the grassy knoll. And then the screen goes up and the lights come up, and they go to the new president, "Any questions?" "Er, just what my agenda is." "First we bomb Baghdad." "You got it …"

(Hicks was a comedian, I'm sure that doesn't really happen. In fact a big guy with a cigar told me it doesn't. )
