There was a rather sad piece in the Guardian at the week-end that took a look at the border fence, where - perhaps predictably - it has failed on all counts, that is: split communities, damaged historical sites and wild-life habitats, ridden rough-shod over agreements with indigenous populations - even managing to pi** off folk who were looking forward to better border protection, and lastly of course, remains unfinished!
Meanwhile, apparently, the good folk of Mexico, keen to get to work as soon as they can, cooking and cleaning for their richer American cousins, have simply used ladders to get over it...

If the fence was here most of it would end up in T-Met scrap yard.

The Washington Post has compiled a video of the way the Capitol insurrection developed. Shot by news crews, not just random cell phone videos by rioters:

Shows just how close Trump's insane false rhetoric and lies about the election being stolen - and the way it was accepted and acted upon by gullible and nefarious Americans - came to causing the deaths of members of Congress, even Speaker Pelosi and Vice President Pence.

It's almost too good to be true but he will be gone this time tomorrow!

I did hear a trumpist claiming that the Communists who elected Biden will round all the trumpist up and put them in a concentration camp to brainwash them.

Hi, Oh that it could be true, the very idea that all of the loony, gun toting, empty heads who now feel left out in the cold, being interned for the safety of the nation!
See how many images of McCarthy get displayed, with the number of Reds in the country being totalized and displayed!

I don't get this whole presidential pardon thing...

Why is it there? What purpose is it meant to serve other than allowing rich famous people a potential "get out of jail" card?
Has there ever been a case of a "nobody" being pardoned?
Does it have any exclusions or can they basically pardon anyone guilty of anything?
