He had to appear on Fox and Friends to get the President's attention. The programme, which Orange Don watches, is described as entertainment rather than news.

Even Trump isn't so barmy he'd welcome Johnson's company.

Yet Farage was allowed in a few times! Boris or Farage I'd rather the blonde moptop ****** over the UKIPer on chief (until it showed signs of imploding when he left it as quick as possible for America).

And I thought you lot on the right idolised Mr. Farage.....

I see he's now after the NHS (and other EU socialised healthcare) - blaming the buying power of the large bodies getting them discounts so the US ends-up paring more to subsidise us over here!. And he's talking about getting those visiting the US to pay more for drugs to make up for it!

Europe has never been as disenchanted with the US as it is now, and the latest crusade against 'free-riding' patients in the EU so Americans pay less is going to have serious consequences

It’s that America First thing. "When foreign governments extort unreasonably low prices from US drug makers, Americans have to pay more to subsidise the enormous cost of research and development," Trump declared Friday on the White House lawn. He didn't mention the NHS direclty, but it's clear that healthcare systems in Britain, the rest of Europe and in Canada too were on his mind. America’s trading partners “need to pay more because they’re using socialist price controls, market access controls, to get unfair pricing,” added Alex Azar, the US health secretary, who was standing alongside him.

It's a bit of a "commentary" thing (typical of weekends without Royal Weddings) and the quote above is from near the bottom.

It's what you get with rampant capitalism, profit always comes first.
We shouldn't be surprised at all by Trump's stance on this, after all he's the(orange) face of capitalism in it's worst guise.
The May government is no better, just more slimey and secretive in it's approach.

As said elsewhere some Americans love him and can't see what the problem is.

Since he has come to power; Employment has gone up, Share values have risen, crime has gone down. To us he is stark raving but to many Americans he's a breath of fresh air.

Also have to ask why people dislike/distrust politicians so much to vote for him in the first place.

Quite!
It shows how bad things have got in the US(and around the world FTM) when such people can fool so many.

I remember after the fiasco with the Bush election...... an Eastern Europe colleague declared that they did not understand Western Democracy.

Until 1989, when the Ossis in the DDR started to revolt carefully after another 99% result, anybody else remember that year?
I love 1989, at least

It's the economy stupid!
Gee, the President has created thousands of new jobs, God Bless America

"I know about those jobs, I alone have three of them", gasped the Serviceperson at McBurgers :?

Love him or (mostly) hate him, there's a definite economic effect. A very bigly one, which will see him serving 2 terms. Totally covfefe about that.
