I see that Regeneron which was used to treat POTUS has now been approved for use against Covid-19. (Can't link because everything seems to be behind a paywall.)

Let's hope that the dide effects don't include serious delusions.

so the mafia are the ones behind Bidens success

The story claimed that reputed Philadelphia mob boss Joe Merlino - aka "Skinny Joey" - was paid $3m (£2.25m) to "steal the election" in Pennsylvania by dumping boxes of counterfeit ballots marked for Joe Biden at a counting centre. It cites "associates" of Mr Merlino and anonymous sources.

Something confusing me: Pardons. Ignoring the aspect as to whether or not the President can pardon himself, I can't understand how somebody can be legally pardoned when they have not been found guilty of what they are being pardoned for. e.g. I see calls for Trump to pardon Julian Assange - but Assange argues he has committed no US crime, has not been before any US court so no offence has been established so what would be be pardoned for?

And then we get to "self-pardons" - Trump has not even been charged with any offence so would he in effect confess before pardoning himself?

As I understand it pardon is an act of mercy, effectively commuting the sentence, but if there is no sentence the act of pardon becomes ineffective.

But I'm no legal expert so interested in thoughts or better understanding.

You're not alone.

"The full extent of a president's power to pardon has not been fully resolved."

From that it doesn't look like Trump pardoning himself would help massively as he can only pardon federal offences and I have the impression there are several state investigations underway (e.g. New York).

with a few days to go he could admit all and resign, Pence would then become president and could issue a pardon ?

be quite funny if Pence decided to go for a round of golf instead :D

But that would not affect state investigations (e.g. New York)

TTBOMK no-one has come up with a reason why that wouldn't work.

That's right. I'd put my money on NY, financial crimes, and for the last couple of years I'd have said emoluments, but there's a recent analysis that suggests that it's more likely to be something else.

An intresting article (link sent to me from elsewhere). It's a long read but discusses different categories of crimes, likelyhood of them being pursued, levels of evidence, etc. But a long article. https://www.nytimes.com/2020/11/17/magazine/trump-investigations-criminal-prosecutions.html

And he loses the same election yet again.

Meanwhile, he is literally on a state murder spree with record executions.
