Hi,
If you have a tv licence / catchup.
BBC News on BBC parliament channel (232) is airing the BBC pay equality, BBC pay committee, Lord Hall and his harem are dancing a jig

Its all so plain to see, even if you just listen.
Probably old stuff but on as we speak.

according to the BBC they are the ones who insisted on the private company payment schemes. whats the advantage to them?
payment of N.I?

Yes, exactly that, NI savings.

The BBC are on the hook here, IMHO. I'm somewhat surprised that HMRC pursued the individuals as opposed to the controlling hand, as it were.

+1,and possibly other payments, holiday pay, sick pay, etc, etc, that an employed person would benefit from that a self employed person doesn't.

Poor old BBC workers
The individual is responsible for ALL tax affairs levelled at them..............

I always used to put money aside to pay my tax bills......on their earnings whats the problem.
Tax man will get what its owed from BBC we hope, and workers can pay their tax bills................what did their accounts advise they should do?
Some workers are in fear of homelessness...............................

hmm well Its still BBC Studios? let it go completely commercial and stop using the very valuable BBC nomiker? Does the studios use any BBC resources funded by the tax payer? I bet it does. That should be stopped right away? let them set up their own loos and stop dumping in tax payer funded ones

"One presenter on today’s list said of BBC Studios: ‘It sounds like a BBC organisation, it acts like a BBC organisation but, on paper and legally, it is not. "
