There are some users here who never or very rarely post over many years
Maybe that is a way to be on a social network without being on it

I'm appreciate I'm behind the times, but I honestly cannot see the point of FB... If I wanted to be in touch with people, I'd be in touch with them - I don't need Zuckerberg's Great Black Hole of Data (or is Zuckerberg's Borg v1 a better analogy?) to help me.
I think what annoys me now is the presumption that everyone is on Facebook or Paypal or whatever. Payment for the renewal of my local cycling group was run through Paypal; some of my suppliers at work (when we order online reports) require Paypal to pay ("or you can send us a cheque", says their helpdesk ); and then there are competitions on websites of which I'm a regular registered user, but which require you to like them on FB to go into a draw, or to enter, with no other way of entering.
