Where's Waldo? Assuming it's him

Post by thirdcrank »

I'm a fairly regular user of google maps and once or twice recently, I've noticed a cartoon character dressed in red and white stripes appearing to peer round the edge of the screen. Having no idea what this was, I've googled and the nearest thing I can find is "Where's Waldo?" but no explanation of what's happening.

Is this a sign that my computer has become infected with deadly nerve agent or is it something that my grandchildren could explain were they not in New York, New York (so good they named it twice.)

Ask the grandchildren.
Yes it is Waldo but not bothered myself to go look for him.
You'll never know if you don't try it.

Did you not notice the date when he first appeared?

Yes there was an April Fool game - found via an extra menu entry - with several scenes where you could search for Wally (Waldo in the US & Canada) & his friends - 6 scenes altogether. (Wikipedia link)
