Some of you may remember my buying a secondhand iPhone 5 and the fact that the battery wasn't in the best condition.

It became a bit worse over the last few months, so I bought a new battery plus tools the other day, and I bit the bullet and fitted it.

All fairly easy, but I didn't completely remove the glass screen assembly but made a decent hinge out of parcel tape to hinge the screen up vertically so the connectors didn't get strained. All went well ................... except ....................

One of the issues with these phones, is that the Home Button gets tired, and mine was becoming difficult often needing a couple or more firm prods.
Now the phone is reassembled and working, the Home Button is much worse, so considering buying a new button assembly.

Still haven't fixed it, but have employed Method 4.
Much better than a silly button that is prone to faults!
Doing the same with the iPad now.

Not a cider fan these days, though we have drunk? it a few times over the years.
Remember Merrydown from the 70s and 80s?

Latterly, calling in at Felldownhead - excellent name for a place! - we have had Countyman Cider many times. Countryman Gold was a good choice.
