What's your tipple?

Post by peetee »

I have been a tea drinker from the moment I tasted it. I am happy to down a pint of it after a hard ride. Nothing else hits the spot.

Tea for me ...but I prefer it brewed in a pot from loose tea leaves ...tea bags are a horrid invention , just about bearable if camping or in a workshop...But at home real tea every time ...Edit...if anyone is every passing this way pop in for a cuppa .....

Of course. Anyone is welcome if they are within riding distance of Southampton. Kettle never cools down in this house! :D

So do I. Used to have a selection of 3-4 loose teas, Assam being the best.

Until a neurological consistent banned it Nb. A head injury resulting in caffeine having an extreme effect - long distance sleep walking. The final 11 miles were a cause for concern :!: (Nb. Though I wasn't on foot by that stage  ).

So purely caffeine free Redbush tea for me, in the dreaded tea bag

I ticked "Other" because it varies from water, tea, and beer, depending on the length of the ride and the time of day.

It was a very expensive night, for sure

Actually, Cristal featured in a night memorable mostly for the frankly obscene bill at The Waterside. That was many years ago, and it has never been 'bettered'.

Favourite champagne is the Majestic 'cooking' one, which, inasmuch as ordinary wine with some added bubbles can be good value, is just that.

Majestic decided to send a frankly stupid discount offer to their least loyal customers* which put it sub £10 a bottle

*How can this be good marketing - a bit like rewarding people who don't buy much with a faster checkout in a supermarket...

Hot tea is great in the summer
