What might a Derek look like, or a Phyllis?

That must have been quite a depressing day then.

Never mind a depressing day, I've never recovered in over 30 years.

I've met you, though it was a quite a long time ago I have to agree :)

Yes, and as I recall I don't see any resemblance to you and Rudolph Nureyev; but thankfully haven't seen what part of your body you may be referring to

On seeing me in cycling tights, a female colleague commented on my resemblance to Max Wall.

I'm a sort of cross between Mum and Dad.
Mum was a Phyllis.

What was dad? What about people with ambiguous names, Leslie and Lesley for example?

I have been told I have a face very much like one of the competitors on the Gladiators program. Alas, the rest of me has gone the other way.

I'm looking like my dad all of a sudden.

Don't know about my mum - she died when I was five.

I used to look like my Dad. More recently I seem to look a lot like my Grandad.

It's a sobering thought that I've now lived longer than either of them.

My maternal grandfather was 94 when he died. Lancashire coal miner and chewed tobacco down the pit, and smoked a pipe all his life. He like a beer or two as well. :D

Paternal grandfather died in his 60s. He was an office worker, but I don't know if he smoked or not or even drank. He died when I was three, so I don't remember him.
