nice story and pic

Post by Sweep »

On reading the barest bones of the story I think folk could be forgiven for thinking "ignorant mutt" and in fact pared to the very bare bones on TV text it could sound like that.

But turns out it's a bit more complicated.

The mum seems to have a nice way with words.

Good luck to them both.

I think what I liked about the pic is that the mum is looking at her baby with such a sense of wonder and delight.

And that it's the baby which is looking towards the "camera" with such a sense of wonder/awaiting world.

Neither of them - thank god - are in selfie-land.

The thing that struck me most about this story is how a blonde, white girl gets to be named Ebony.

I had a Golden Retriever like that. She wasn't pregnant - definitely not - she just seemed a bit distressed one day so I took her to the vet. Vet couldn't find anything 'wrong', couldn't feel anything, just said there was a lot of fluid there - a phantom pregnancy.

Next day she had eight pups. Definitely wasn't pregnant though. :)

To be honest lawnet I find it bizarre, perhaps a tad worrying, that you found this the most interesting thing.
Though i admit that I have no idea what her views are on the burning topic of 11 speed.

I like the name she chose for her baby, it's a new one to me so I looked up the meaning - very appropriate.

I'm also impressed that, according to the article, one womb carried a baby while the other continued the other usual cycle - I would not have expected that since they're both experiencing the same hormones.

All the best to all three generations.
Everyone's ghast should get a good flabbering now and then.
