Re: The gang of how many?
Sorry, shouldn't have mentioned shh-you-know-what - that's another thread.
al_yrpal - had to look up nebulosity and still not sure what you mean - is it to do with the stars in the European flag (even though we shouldn't really be discussing shh-you-know-what)?

Hi Kylecycler, Nebulosity? Think Orion, Think Crab, Think Horseshoe! To point Astronomy.
Nebulous explains a gaseous cluster of distant stars, that don't display a clear pattern as seen in constellations.
A night lying on ones back scanning the heavens with a nice pair of 7 x 50 bins certainly lifts the spirits, especially if one has the Leonids or the Perseids on show. Blame it all on the wonderful Sir Patrick Moore. Hope he has a G & T to hand in the after-life?
Poliically nebulous would have to be explained by Mister Barnier!

Re: The gang of how many?
When I read "nebulosity" my mind settled on something like this:
Not quite sure how it applies to Yours Truly, but Orion was in legend a mighty hunter - and the Orion constellation is one of the best known in the sky.
I'm flattered.

I went to visit Sir Patrick once. Sadly, he was a bit past the G&T phase by this time (it was about a year before his death). Anyway, this is me and him - he's the one with the monocle:merseymouth wrote:Blame it all on the wonderful Sir Patrick Moore. Hope he has a G & T to hand in the after-life?

Hi Guys, In relation to belly talk, how about Daisy May? Who operated her . Or even Archie Andrews? Radio Ventriloquism, bit like conjuring tricks on the wireless!!!!!!!!!!
Archie Andrews turned up at auction not long back, went for just under £40K, dumb money or what?
I always remember Sir KAD doing his dummy routine, versatile chap.
To quote Mrs Mop, "Can I do You Now Sir?". MM
* I was on a course run by Sir Patrick & Bob Turner, astro physisist at Burton Manor.
You would be astonished at Pat's ability to identify any eclipse just from a single photo, brilliant!
He enjoyd his G & T, fab fellow.

Patrick Moore.

Ultra right wing
From a privileged background, little empathy with lesser mortals?
Racist/ nationalist?
Fantasist ( about his own personal life).
Misfit even.
Lost all his teeth by 19.
Wore a monocle for no reason?
Out of touch with an earthly reality? (one can almost sympathize!).
Narrow minded?
Micturate head?
And put his name to this sort of biased propaganda.

And hated Germany and Germans because the love of his life was killed in an air raid in WW2
I suppose he has something in common with a couple of posters on this thread

If you read the Wiki link above it states:-
"However, some doubt has arisen over Moore's account, as researchers have been unable to identify Lorna, despite the meticulous records kept of wartime civilian casualties".
Hence my fantasist reference.
....
Don't misunderstand me, he was a classic British eccentric, I sometimes enjoyed the Sky at Night years ago.
But he had some less pleasant personal traits.

I did have Brains and Lady Penelope in my loft at one time, and I worked for a company that inherited Jerry Andersons Thunderbirds studio on Slough Trading Estate. The puppets had been rescued from a fire. Brains was used in one of our magazine adverts. Nothing to do with the growing band of Undemocrats...

Even Douglas Carswell the UKIP MP had the decency to put himself up for re election when he changed allegiance from the Tory's to UKIP. This shower could learn a bit about democracy from him.

Re: The gang of how many?
The government tried to stifle parliament completely. The no longer Tory MPs were among the few democrats in their former party.who voted against this.
